Logging in to viaOne
From the viaOne welcome page, enter your user ID and password in the User ID and Password fields and click Login.
If authentication of your login is required (using two-factor authentication), you will be directed to a page where you can request and enter an authentication code. If you have already entered a code or are not required to use two-factor authentication, the Welcome page is displayed upon successfully logging in.
You are required to re-enter your password after 20 minutes of inactivity so that no one else can access the site from your idle work station. Your session will time out if you do not click a link, perform a search, or enter a note for 20 minutes. If this happens, re-enter your login and password on the Welcome page. Sessions active for eight hours are automatically logged off; a message warns you within ten minutes of this action.
You cannot have more than one session of viaOne open at a time.
Note: This topic does not apply to users who log in to viaOne through an employer or carrier portal.
Forgot User ID or Password
If you cannot remember your user ID, contact Sedgwick Support Services at (866) 647-7610.
To update, unlock, or reset your password:
- Click Forgot User Name or Password from the viaOne login page.
- Enter your User ID and the CAPTCHA text in the fields provided.
- Click Submit.
- A confirmation message appears that reads:
“If information is found matching what you provided, a reset link will be sent to you. For email please check your Inbox, Junk and Spam folders.
For additional help please contact Technical Support.
You may close this browser window.”
- Using the link sent to you via email, unlock and reset your password.
The reset link is valid for 10 minutes. If viaOne does not find your email, no link is sent and you must contact technical support for assistance.
Logging In for the First Time
If this is the first time you are logging in to viaOne, you will be required to select a new password after you have entered your user name and the temporary password provided to you.
Passwords expire every 90 days, after which you will be prompted to enter a new one.
Selecting a new password
The following restrictions apply when selecting a new password:
- The new password must contain at least three
of the following four types of characters:
- Upper case (A-Z) letters
- Lower case (a-z) letters
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special characters (! @ % * . < = + : - _ or ,)
- The passwords entered in the New Password and Retype New Password fields must match
- The new password can not be the same as your login ID
- The new password must be different from the previous password
- The password must be between 8 and 16 characters in length
User Agreement and License
After successfully logging in the first time, you will be presented with the User Agreement and License. You must scroll to the bottom of the document's terms and conditions and click I Agree before you will be allowed to continue using viaOne.
This agreement also displays (and requires your agreement) when changes have been made to the document.
